The Wellsville Mountains rise steeply between the Great Salt Lake and the Cache Valley of northern Utah. A raptor flyway was discovered along its ridges; volunteers monitor autumn hawk migrations from its peaks. The original formula for Dr. Pierce's elixir contained both alcohol and opium, no doubt contributing to his success. From Buffalo, New York, Dr. R.V.
