What was the 2 lane road to Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge
When we moved here in 1993, the road to the refuge had not yet been reopened from the great floods. When we crossed it on Saturday, it gave way under our wheels, and we back-tracked to the highway side of the breech. I doubt the roadbed held up even until nightfall against the water flowing over, under, through the it, while the manly full-sized pick-em-trucks rumbled across.

Another thing not under warranty is my Movable Type installation. In case you were wondering, Xmission does keep a nice set of back-ups, and once I reverted to yesterday’s files, all worked as intended. I will not report how long I spent trying other clever fixes before attempting the obvious. The really good news is the database which stores the MT entries is completely separate from the the MT software itself, and survived my attempt to improve my workflow. Go visit the Arches pictures that I needed to upload which motivated the niggling. I did it the hard way in the end, which took half the time I spent on the MT repair job. All because the guys who made the shadows want to see their pictures. What I won’t do for my audience.
