Days of ’47 float
At the Days of ’47 parade in SLC for “pie and beer” day, I got the perfect spot under the eagle on State Street, right down the centerline of U.S. 89. I like how the hula arms are mimicking the bird.

A high priced foal, one of the highest priced foals in the first auction lot
On the 29th, also R’s birthday, I made quick trip with Maggie to Salina to see the colt auction. Mostly interested because one of the producers is from Mt. Pleasant. It was pleasantly cooler on that side of the mountains, though still hot, and neither of us bought a horse, though Maggie was sorely tempted. Got back in time to have a nice sushi dinner with R before I left the next morning for 4 nights in Albion, camping with my mom.

This is not Albion
I still haven’t had a chance to look at the Albion shots, even though I’ve been back since Thursday. First, I had to get my toes painted and all the rest for the gala (a 4 hour turnaround from hiking boots to party princess). Friday, I had to get ready for the rehearsal dinner, get my gear cleaned up. Saturday, I shot like mad, and I’ve been doing photoshop ever since. Can’t go wrong when the groom serenades his bride down the aisle with his trombone. Best wishes for a lifetime of happiness to Marianna and Gary, and thanks for letting me be a part of your day.
