Packing lists before the road trip

Sharkey

Last minute details before I head south for 17 days:

  • Sharkey's portrait (would not lick his nose, even dabbed with peanut butter).
  • R's portrait (would not lick his nose either. I didn't even ask. He did pose with his new guitar.)
  • Snack shopping (rats, forgot the fruit roll-ups.)
  • Heavy trash pick-up (R took care of that, hurray!)
  • Condense an entire milk crate of collected research material into 400-500 3x5 index cards.
  • Fill another milk crate with books to mine for facts to be transferred to more 3x5 cards. I only have 300 with me. I can buy more.
  • Pack six battery chargers, after charging all the spares. This is getting ridiculous. Are you listening, gear manufacturers? (No, they are not. I had to buy a mop today because the profit is in the fact that you can't buy a replacement head for the one you already have.) But I am not throwing any more AAs into the landfill if I can help it.
  • Remind Mom that I need a place to sleep Tuesday night.
  • Print the sunrise charts.
  • Go out to dinner with my guy.

I keep reminding myself that they have grocery stores in Arizona, and hardware stores, and everything I really need is within a day's drive from anywhere I'll be. Time to relax and go enjoy dinner. I'll blog as often as I can.
