Striking the decisive moment

Shaping the handle of my brand

Henri Cartier-Bresson talked about the "decisive moment" when all the elements of a photo come together. This image is from my brand-making session last Friday. Which one better tells the story of Dan at his trade?

Richard Wong:

Hey Ann. I think the moving hammer image is more in the spirit with the decisive moment in this instance though perhaps not the actual decisive moment if that makes any sense.

Harley Pebley:

I agree with Richard. I think the one with movement blur better communicates the working of the metal best.

Robert Marc:

I agree with Harley & Richard.

#2 is so good it might have been posed. #1 has the dynamics that force the viewer to imagine the next moment ... to become engaged ...
