We found only a few poppies at Lost Dutchman State Park, but lots at Picacho Peak. Not much in the way of interesting light, so I tried a bunch of different stuff to learn the capabilities of this new lens. The wind was gusting and kicking up dust off the desert to the west, so even a blue sky was something to be grateful for.
I left my right-angle viewfinder behind that day, so I was handholding and shooting blind, which was kind of fun. The probabilities were already low with the wind of getting something hyperfocal sharp anyway. I made more images that I liked that way than I would have if I put the camera away because conditions weren’t perfect.
Conditions are rarely perfect.
